I've redesigned this website 4 separate times with this being the best iteration of my website. It started out as a create-react-app then I changed it to a gatbsy app for a long time. For about 2 => 3 years I just didn't do a whole lot with it because it wasn't a priority for me due to work and stuff of that nature. I just never had time to work on it. Not to mention at the time I didn't really have the idea to really make a blog. Then about the summer of this year I decided to completely start from scratch and rebuild my entire website gatsby => to nextjs.

Right now you are using my Nextjs website which is now for the first time has more than half the pages being indexed by google. I failed a lot and let me tell you the first versions of this website were absolute trash compared to what it is now. Maybe I'll make them viewable so that you can see them. But essentially was comprised of 3 pages 1 schedule page, 1 main page, an empty gallery page that I still have yet to publish. In the beginning I didn't even have it hooked up to strapi but I just  failed to get it working due to getting distracted with wanting to get other features finished.

However I had got it working for a client of mine who wanted me to build them a custom blog and that inspired me to finish my blog here.

Let's get back on track though when you try a new task, game, or learn a new skill don't think about your current level or aptitude to complete the task.

I try to set small goals that I want to improve at maybe it might be breaking a bad habit that I've picked up in a fighting game or maybe it's using a kool technique that I've learned. However one thing I've learned from being proficient at many games I've played is that getting better at anything is truly a journey and not a race.

The last thing I would add is be humble even if someone who you think is better or you feel shouldn't beat you they did. Except defeat learn from the experience and if possible ask the other person what they think you could have done better. Humility has taken me far in life and I haven't gotten to this place in life thinking I was hot shit. Ironically life keeps smacking me down every time I get too full of myself 😂

It'll look different for everyone focus on improvement and maybe you could see yourself mastering a skill.
